Who we are

This website is operated by the Alexandra Rufă Law Office, a member of the Bucharest Bar, Romania. Full identification details are available on the Legal Notice page.

Informational nature of the content

The information published on this website, including the “Practical guidance” and “Frequently asked questions” sections, is general and informational. It does not constitute legal advice and does not replace an attorney's specific analysis of your situation.

The information refers to Romanian law. Legislation and case law change. The deadlines and procedures mentioned may have exceptions or may be amended. Before making a decision, we recommend a consultation.

Attorney–client relationship

Accessing the website, filling out the form or sending a message does not create an attorney–client relationship and does not mean that a mandate has been accepted. The professional relationship begins only once a written legal services agreement has been signed, in accordance with Romanian Law No. 51/1995 and the Statute of the Legal Profession.

Before taking on any case, the office checks for potential conflicts of interest and may decline a case, in accordance with the rules of the profession.

Contact form

The form is used solely to request a consultation. Please provide accurate information and only a short description, without sensitive information. Your data is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

Submitting a request does not suspend or interrupt legal deadlines (for example, deadlines to file a challenge or limitation periods). If your situation involves a deadline that is about to expire, please contact us by phone.

Fees and outcomes

The fee is communicated transparently before our work together begins and is set out in the legal services agreement, depending on the complexity of the case. The information on this website is not a firm price offer.

In line with the ethics of the profession, an attorney does not guarantee any particular outcome, which also depends on factors beyond the attorney's control.

Intellectual property rights

The texts, photographs, logo, graphic elements and structure of the website are protected by Romanian Law No. 8/1996 on copyright and related rights. Reproducing, distributing or modifying them, in whole or in part, without the office's written consent is prohibited. Quoting short excerpts is permitted, provided the source is credited and a link to the website is included.

Acceptable use of the website

You may not use the website for unlawful purposes or in a way that could affect its operation or security: introducing malicious software, attempting unauthorized access, automatically extracting content or sending unsolicited messages through the form.

Links to other websites

The website may contain links to external websites (for example, those of public authorities). The office does not control and is not responsible for their content or policies.

Limitation of liability

We make every effort to keep the information on this website accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee that it is complete or always current. To the extent permitted by law, the office is not liable for decisions made solely on the basis of the website's general content, without a consultation. Nor do we guarantee that the website will operate without interruption or errors.

Governing law and dispute resolution

These terms are governed by Romanian law. Any disagreements will be resolved amicably and, failing an agreement, by the competent courts of Romania. For matters concerning the attorney's professional conduct, you may also contact the Bucharest Bar.

Changes to these terms

The office may update these terms. The version in force is the one published on this page. Last updated: October 12, 2026.
